Meet Brendan

My name is Brendan Tierney and thanks for visiting my site.

I am an Approved Driving Instructor since 2011 and I have my own driving school business in Sligo town.

My ethos when teaching people to drive, is to ensure the pupil is relaxed, understands what they will be doing and enjoys the experience.

From my years in the job, I have compiled many useful tips and nuggets of advice which I share with my pupils. I decided to finally formulise these into a useful set of Video Tutorials which can be used anywhere. It is primarily relevant for the Republic of Ireland, but needless to say, there is plenty of advice which can be useful no matter where you drive.

These videos are in no way meant to replace real driving lessons, but they are an additional learning resource to complement your driving lessons. The videos are full of real life advice as well as clear instruction. Driving scenarios occur daily that can be advised upon differently by different instructors and indeed your driving test is judged by a human, so there can be a few grey areas, but overall, my videos should clear up a lot of issues.

In my videos I speak not only about driving but also about mental preparation and what the test itself is comprised of. There are a lot of myths out there about the test and I’ve heard them all!
